Peter Preston is a veteran journalist who served as the Guardian editor for twenty years. Putting aside his justification of suicide bombers, his fallacious belief that Israel is the root cause of terror and his whitewashing of Jihad terror in an article entitled All this jaw about jihad is just tosh, this particular piece caught our attention that quite succinctly sums up the myopic and self-righteous view of the Guardian that appeared in ‘Comment is Free’:
“Britain, by contrast, does a bit better than that. The Telegraph is strongly pro-Israel, the Independent (with Robert Fisk) strongly pro-Palestinian: papers like the Guardian – see Jonathan Freedland or Ian Black – strive to understand the issues and push them forward.” Israel barks, the US media wags its tail January 7, 2009
