Report collated from the Israeli media and the blog ‘This Ongoing War‘ edited by Arnold and Frimet Roth
- On Saturday night, Nov. 10, terrorist forces in Gaza fired an anti-tank missile that hit an IDF jeep patrolling 200 meters inside the Israeli border with Gaza near the Karni border crossing. Four soldiers were injured, and two are in serious condition (one with shrapnel wounds to the head).

- On Saturday night, Tzeva Adom (Code Red) warnings were blaring in the cities of Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netivot, Sderot, Gedera, Yavne, Kiryat Malachi and Beit Gamliel, as well as in the Sha’ar Hanegev, Eshkol, Lachish and Sdot Negev regions.
- In addition to the injuries to IDF soldiers, three civilians have been injured by rocket shrapnel.
- Over 60 rockets and mortar shells have hit Israeli southern communities since last night.
- ‘Credit’ was claimed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) for the initial round of rockets, but the IDF believes Islamic Jihad is behind most of the attacks.
- The so-called Al-Mujahideen brigades (which likely means the Mujahideen Shura Council of Jerusalem, a terrorist group that claims to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda) is claiming responsibility for 2 of the rockets fired into Israel.
- The Popular Resistance Committee said it had fired four rockets at Israeli communities close to the Gaza border and at Sderot and Netivot.
- Hamas, which controls Gaza, published an announcement saying all Israeli military targets (meaning civilian targets) are “legitimate” objects of attack.
- Islamic Jihad announced on Saturday that it “…will not give the Zionist enemy calm for free… The Resistance cannot sit idly by. Our message to the foe is that it will be bombardment for bombardment, blood for blood…”.
- Israeli Channel 2 reported on Saturday that “recent cross-border fire from Gaza had included highly accurate Katyusha rockets, capable of doing far more damage than previous rocket fire”.
- Overnight, the IDF carried out well-targeted air assaults on several Gazan targets involved in yesterday’s attacks against Israeli civilians: a Palestinian weapons manufacturing facility, two weapons storage facilities, and two rocket-launching sites in northern Gaza.
Thus far, there are no reports on the latest round of Palestinian terror on the Israel, Palestinian territories, or Gaza pages of the Guardian.
(Update: A few minutes ago, at 14:45 Israeli time, the Guardian published an AP report on the latest terror from Gaza)

Palestinians, don’t you realize nobody wants you? Palestinians are not welcomed in no nation on earth. Even those Arabs and Iranians who pay you to keep this conflict alive and send you weapons don’t want you in their countries. They pay you for their own political gain and laugh at your blood and tears. You are useful idiots, and the war will never be over so long as you remain so.

Another assumption of terrorists which Nuts propagates.
Ed, the Palestinians are welcome in their own nation – Palestine.
Nat, palestine is not muslim, Jews were there before, else explain how the elaqsa mosque is built on ruins of temple house ????
We have a birth right to be here. your grandparents exiles us and killed us, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t own our land back. a proud jewish Ella
How about not supplying our enemies with water, electricity food and fuel while they are trying to kill Jews.
Only Jews do that. What next? Send Swiss chocolate in return for every rocket?
Israel needs to stop playing defense to the thousands of rockets being fired at them and punish the Gaza regime and its terrorists where it hurts. Cut the electricity to Gaza and turn Gaza into a parking lot.
“How about not supplying our enemies with water, electricity food and fuel”
Ed, targeting civilian infrastructures is a crime of war.
That is not targeting, otherwise gifted.
Both parties must do everything to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the protection of civilians at all times, Ed.
Of course they must, but only if “they” are Israel and Gaza is excused from all pretence of humanity, much less behaving according to humanitarian law.
Why does Islamic Jihad and Hamas send rockets from a school praying that the other side return fire and kill some of it’s children. That’s Gaza today. The Arabs are the only people in the world that go out day by day figuring ways to get their children to die in front of the world press.
What a sick demented society these Pals are.
Then again, the Pals know Harriet Sherwood wont criticize Palestinian child abuse.
Ed, more than 300 children were killed by Israeli fire in Gaza in January 2009.
Or 300 youths organised in terror organisations.
Both parties must do everything to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the protection of civilians at all times, Ed.
How long would Mexico or Cuba last if they fired rockets into the US on a daily basis? Israel has shown tremendous restraint to these attacks from Gaza for years. Let’s not forget the joy in Gaza too when our twin towers came down on 9-11.
The US does not occupy Mexico or Cuba.
Israel does occupy the Palestinian territory.
Targeting civilians as Palestinian armed groups do when launching rockets from Gaza towards south Israel is a violation of international law.
however what is the relationship between 9-11 and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? The USA did not occupy the territory of its neighbour and did not build settlements in violation of international law. They were targeted by terrorists coming from a different part of the world.
We don’t occupy them too, they are free since we left gaza. forgot that?
Palestinians will continue to attack Israel and any other target that they decide is worth attention.
Its called Pallywood.
Both parties must do everything to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the protection of civilians at all times, Ed.
Palestinian child abuse.
For all the people that think Golda Meir wasn’t right.
Watch this video.
Let’s see if turning one-third of Gaza into rubble dampens their enthusiasm. If it doesn’t — well, there’s always the remaining two-thirds.
Ed, are you aware that crimes of war can land you in front of the International Criminal Court of Justice?
All things must come to an end, and it really is time for Gaza to come to an end. It was a failed experiment, anyway — the terrorists “Palestinians” aren’t capable of normal life.
Ed, half of the Palestinians living in Gaza are children.
Do you really think that 900,000 children, including, newborns are “terrorists”?
Yall Palestinians are nothing but crack pipe welfare recipients. Ya get billions $ of international aid, and some of it comes from Israel and the US. Why don’t ya make lives of your selves, make businesses, farming ect. and learn how to to work, for your families instead of wasting all the money on C-4. I’m against abortions, but you are the exception..
Ed, doesn’t the Government of Israel also get billions of dollars of international aid and some of it comes from the US?
Landau should be Israeli PM.

Minister: Prepare for Large Scale Gaza Op
Min. Uzi Landau says it is time to hit the heads of Hamas and prepare a ground assault.
11/11/2012
Minister of Water and Infrastructure, Uzi Landau (Yisrael Beytenu), said Sunday that the IDF needs to prepare a ground assault into Gaza, and to begin targeting the heads of Hamas.
“We must not just go after those firing at Israel, but the true sources of the fire,” Landau said, and explained that he was referring to Hamas’s leaders, who control Gaza.
Landau said that he is reminded now of the interview by Mahmoud Abbas (“Abu Mazen”) last week that had leftist proponents of the Oslo Accords gloating. “The ‘Osloids’ who called him a partner received their answer in the form of missile fire from Gaza,” he asserted.
“It is important to remember,” he added, “that if our security forces were not operating in Judea and Samaria, the ‘partner’ would not have survived for one minute there. Can Abu Mazen even stop the fire there?”
“Unfortunately, the situation is such that besides hitting the heads of Hamas, we must prepare to operate in Gaza and launch a large scale operation in order to bring back quiet and security. The planning of the operation should begin today and it should be executed at the most appropriate time, when the fire begins again.”
Ed, why don’t you go yourself since you’re wishing to risk your life?
We don`t want you to blow yourself up, as you could harm other people.
Update on latest round of Gaza terror: Over 60 rockets fired; 7 Israelis injured -
This is clearly some kind of mistake on your behalf cifwatch.
As Nat is so fond of repeatedly telling us,Israel is safe and a lovely place to raise children.
Israel is a lovely place to raise children not only because it feels very safe, but also because it’s a child-friendly country,
You can always bash Israel as much as you want, you will not discourage the Israelis who love the country and try to make it a better place day after day.
Nuts fantasies
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/8378061/Israeli-settler-family-murdered-Palestinians-accused.html
Fritz, what do you think of the settlers who threw a firebomb at Palestinian family in the West Bank, gravely injuring a Palestinian mother and her children?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/settler-violence-against-palestinians-raises-alarm-in-israel/2012/08/24/14511b7e-ec77-11e1-a80b-9f898562d010_story.html
Nuts, are you still celebrating the murder of Jews?
Fritz, both sides must do everything to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the protection of civilians at all times.
All civilians have the right to be protected, regardless of their race, religion or
nationality. Both Israelis and Palestinians have the right to live in peace and in safety.
