According to his ‘Comment is Free’ profile, Ray Allott is a 66-year-old man who has commented at CiF on essays relating to such socially progressive topics as Energy, Pollution and Renewable energy.
In his spare time, Ray enjoys cycling and motor caravanning in France.

Seems like a nice enough fellow.
However, we learned today that when he’s not cycling, enjoying the winding roads of France’s beautiful countryside, and opining on the the importance of Eco-Friendly polices, he finds time to elucidate on an all together different kind of pollutant – of the Zionist variety.
Commenting under the Guardian’s blog on the AIPAC conference”Barack Obama and Binyamin Netanyahu talks – as it happens“, March 6, Ray wrote the following:

But, it gets better.
It seems that Ray has a Facebook profile which allows Zionist trolls like myself to see his friends, interests, photos, and status updates. Well, evidently, Ray was none too pleased with having his inalienable right to compare Jews to Nazis curtailed, and posted this.

Back (ahem) to the actual article:
I am sick of these people
a) first making Nazi analogies with Israel and then
b) complaining that their “normal/acceptable” criticism of Israel has been deleted (without, of course, mentioning the original Nazi references) before
c) claiming that the CiF mods are “in on it” (or words to that effect).
Pathetic.

Is their hatred for Israel stronger than their love for the palestinians.
These sanctimonious hypocrites couldn’t give a rats ass for the palestinians,they are just using the palestinians to get at Israel.

That’s the thing.
If Israel were, God forbid, to vanish from the page of history as Ahmedinejad predicted, tomorrow, most of these folks would rejoice and do their half-assed version of a Debka around the house for a couple of days.
If, three weeks after that, the neighborhing counties decided to each grab a piece of the newly vacant land, and massacre every last Palestinian man, woman and child, in order to make sure no one challenged their claim to it…these folks wouldn’t know what side to be on. It would be ‘complicated’, and ‘nuanced’, and they would be afraid of coming off as racists if they were critical.
It would all change, in the twinkling of an eye, and as with Syria, their moral compass would remain unactivated.
