Truly disgusting and degenrate, to deny the Holocaust is to rob the victims and to rob the coming generations of knowledge which it is crucial every person should be aware of. It is promoting ignorance to suggest denial of the mass murder which was perpetrated on a mass scale by a nation the epitome of civilised Europe. I want to specialize in the Holocaust and my hope and prayer is that it will be taught, and those who seek to deny it will be exposed for thier ignorance, intolerance and immorality. I need say no more. However is anyone aware of Everyone an Italian human rights movement who is exposing how the Egyptians are facilitating the abuse of Eritreans in the Sinai by Hamas (Hamans) progeny. And would the Guardian dare tell the truth and expose the brutality, corruption, inhumanity these people are being subjected to? I think not we know whose pay pocket they are in. Stupidly they are the pawns and when they have been used in the propaganda war, they could well be next. ps I am a Christian and a Zionist I read the Bible and can be no other and I COULD NOT TELL LIES AND DENY THE HOLOCAUST. In fact Christian persecution in Islamic lands is virulent and of course the western main stream media is deaf, blind and dumb.

The holocaust denial or minimisation is integral to the delegitimisation process – if there was no holocaust and if it had not involved as many murders of Jews as is known to have happened, then all of that undermines the right of Jewish people to their own homeland in Israel.

Having said that, the holocaust is not the only raison d’etre of the Jewish state – there has been a continuous presence there since Bible times.

One wonders about how such a one as Shabi could be so divorced from morality or scruple. What a bitter and twisted soul she must be.

Tebboth, but Gaza City is a very pleasant location, which has five star hotels, excellent shopping malls, world-class restaurants and not a Jew in sight! Why rule it out?

Even Hope not Hate call Shamir a “notable Holocaust denier,” citing the “rabid Holocaust denial material” on his website.

The fact that Shabi has him as a Facebook friend completely de-legitimizes her writings. If the Guardian had any morals, it would cease to accept contributions from her, and would issue a public apology for the contributions it has printed in the past.

But as has been demonstrated over an over again, the Guardian has no problems with anti-semites, Holocaust deniers and terrorists, and their fellow-travellers, provided they keep spewing up a stream of anti-Israel propaganda for their comments forum.

Rachel Shabi apparently lives in Tel Aviv. If she has made public statements that support an open Holocaust denier like Israel Shamir (the weirdness of using that name), I wonder if she falls foul of the following Israeli law by association?!

Denial of Holocaust (Prohibition) Law, 5746-1986

Definitions
1. In this Law, “crime against the Jewish people” and “crime against humanity” have the same respective meanings as in the “Nazis and Nazi Collaborators Law, 5710-1950.

Prohibition of Denial of Holocaust
2. A person who, in writing or by word of mouth, publishes any statement denying or diminishing the proportions of acts committed in the period of the Nazi regime, which are crimes against the Jewish people or crimes against humanity, with intent to defend the perpetrators of those acts or to express sympathy or identification with them, shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of five years.

3. A person who, in writing or by word of mouth, publishes any statement expressing praise or sympathy for or identification with acts done in the period of the Nazi regime, which are crimes against the Jewish people or crimes against humanity, shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of five years.

Permitted publication
4. The publication of a correct and fair report of a publication prohibited by this Law shall not be regarded as an offence thereunder so long as it is not made with intent to express sympathy or identification with the perpetrators of crimes against the Jewish people or against humanity.

Filing of charge
5. An indictment for offences under this Law shall only be filed by or with the consent of the Attorney-General.
