People should be aloud to talk about the pro-Israel lobby etc. without being labelled an anti-Semite.
Presumably The alchemist disagrees with this “dude” bloke over the above and the latter’s use of the word “traitors”. Automatically labelling the man as a Jew hater is IMO ridiculous.

Sure, but he went deeper than that.

This is typical American antisemitism. Not the virulent KKK/NOI style for sure.
Feels still relatively warm and fuzzy compared to Euro antisemitism and most certainly loving compared to Muslim antisemitism. Cif’s got them all, a mix of flavors like Philippine food I guess.

I have never used this expression and I wince when pro Palestinians use it as it is always about creating heat rather than light. You are mistaking me for someone who needs to use the words of others all the time to express themselves.

His contributions here are either to sneer, make pathetic jokes, pander to his own ego or to dismiss examples of antisemitism and racism against Jews with that very patronising attitude that only the British can manage.

But he doesn’t. The pro-Israel lobby in the US does exert a certain influence – is it anti-Semitic to point that out?

A myth. The USA’s pro-Israeli stance is due to the pro-Israeli opinions of the American electorate. In fact, Israel’s ratings with the American public are far higher than Obama’s (or, indeed, of most Presidents).
