If you thought the Guardian’s obsession with Israel and the flotilla story was pathological yesterday, today they tipped right over the edge.
On May 29th, I wrote : “As we await the arrival of the provocative Flotilla of Fools carrying, if past is prolog, exaggerated amounts of unneeded “humanitarian supplies” to Gaza (perhaps Gaza’s “Roots” restaurant – has been running low on trout, sea bass, shrimps and veal scallopine – see the 15-page menu for other entrees) we also await the salvo of articles that the Guardian will use to try to add its weight to this publicity stunt”.
We haven’t counted, to be sure, but we at CiF Watch would bet a small fortune that the pathological types at the Guardian have printed more articles about this event than they printed about any other conflict not involving Britain in the last decade over the space of twelve months, even printing lies, as IsraeliNurse has pointed out, such as Chris McGreal drag up the disproven Al Durah affair.

I havent read the article yet just to ask where have all these new articles about CIF come from?
The hilarity is that the article is about obsession and it appears you dont see the irony. You are obsessed with CIF. There is another world crisis caused by Israel who made a blunder of epic potential…CIF is going to cover it..and not because it is a den of anti Semitism..
I ll get back..

You have a bit of a point but events are unfolding quickly ..the coverage will change regularly. BTW you reprinted the words “Flotilla of Fools ” I thought we had discussed it and agreed it was a clumpily dull expression that a fourth form debating society would cringe at.
I posted on Seths thread that I would accompany a convoy but that I had to work for a while. I am hoping to raise money for this project. I will teach non violence . Do you know anyone that might help sponsor me?

You are more than welcome.

Sure by joking about giving a blast to murdered Jewish children as you used to to teach peace on CIF.
Do you know anyone that might help sponsor me?
Try Stormfront or Hamas, they certainly will help you. If they run out of money temporarily the Guardian would happily sponsor any anti-Semites even you.

“Try Stormfront or Hamas, ”
This is unfair Peter. I have already apologised for calling you an” unhinged extremist ” I explained I was exhausted and had posted first thing when I should not have. I again apologise and wish to state categorically that you are hinged.

Yohoho
Berchmans, these people are hardly intelligent are they, to tie their lives to terrorists (and the emerging news is that those who began this nastiness have links with terrorist organisations)?
By the way did you hear that Hamas has refused to accept the convoy’s aid?
” IDF Spokesperson and CoGAT Update: Hamas Refuses to Allow Flotilla Aid into Gaza Strip
“As of right now, the State of Israel has loaded 20 trucks with various types of aid found onboard the flotilla. Expired medication, clothing, blankets, some medical equipment and toys were among the aid found on the ships.
“Unfortunately, the Hamas terror organization is unwilling to accept the cargo and the trucks filled with humanitarian aid have not been allowed to enter the Gaza Strip. It appears that Hamas is in fact stopping the transfer of the humanitarian aid.”
Apart from this being typical of Hamas’ stupidity, for once I wouldn’t blame them. The aid for which these people died was comprised of out-of-date medicines and food and crap equipment which probably wouldn’t work and in total, even if it had all been in good condition, it would not have constituted as much as goes in per day through the crossings. Aid convoy? Hardly. Terrorists who were spoiling for a fight more like.
