It’s a very difficult choice – perhaps the Dearborn Independent, perhaps the Stürmer, perhaps the Guardian, …

Hmmm … some mad rag serving the West Bank settlers and their supporters?
I reckon you’ve goofed on this one, Hawkeye.

I don’t get it.
I would have thought that is EXACTLY what the Nations of the world have done, and it is the duty of all Israelis, Jews, and their friends around the world to protect the place from these attacks, verbal or physical???
Why would Streichers “The Guardian” wish to point that out to people?

Once again the pletsl shows its grotesque ignorance of Israel. Dry Bones is one of the country’s most widely-appreciated cartoons, reflecting not a “settler” audience but rather almost the whole of the Israeli public and diaspora.
To hate that audience is to hate modern Jewry.

Deutsche kvetcherei is back again showing a characteristic lack of knowledge. We lasted two millennia after the last time the nations of the world supported our enemies and we will doubtless do the same this time.
Yes, you don’t get it.

It is a shame that pretzelberg doesn’t follow Mark Twain’s advice.

Nobody appears to have seen the gaffe here.
Toko LeMoko is spouting hate-fuelled nonsense – oh can anyone explain how they see me “hating” the Dry Bones readership??
@ Margie
Who is “Deutsche kvetcherei”??
@ modernityblog
What’s your problem?
Aren’t people here regularly complaining that The Guardian et al. are always downplaying the threats to Israel?
In future you might want to think first …

That’s what I would have assumed – except I didn’t understand your “lack of knowledge” reference towards that poster.
Then again: if you say “characteristic” then obviously FT has some a previous history on this website that I’m not aware of. The moniker rings a bell, but I can’t recall whether it’s a joyous cacophony or a dull thud.

So, in addition to pedantry, the pletsl cannot admit error.
Come now, pletsl, admit it – in ignorance, you assumed Dry Bones representative of a “mad rag [for] West Bank settlers” when it is pretty much representative of most of the world’s 13m Jews and especially their attempt to treat the situation with characteristic humour.
Your phraseology indicates further ignorance in that a significant porportion of the “settlers” ae not mad religious fanatics but are rather secular, who simply found location and price convenient.

pretzelberg,
It is a pity that you don’t read more widely or you’d know what I was getting at and the background to Dry Bones, but then again Mark Twain’s advice was probably meant just for you:
“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”
