Brian Whitaker, commissioning editor, of “Comment is Free” is always on the lookout for new talent especially writers that are “fair and balanced” and who can provide new perspectives on the Israel/Palestine conflict, so in the interest of furthering this goal here’s a hearty recommendation:
He ticks all the right boxes: he’s high profile (he’s a Labor party MP for Medway), he’s just come back from a trip to Gaza with Gerald Kaufman, he characterizes Israel as a “pariah state”, he uses all the right catchphrases to describe Israeli actions (slaughter, mass starvation, war crimes), he’s a big fan of Goldstone, he is dismissive of the antisemitism in the Hamas Charter, makes Nazi analogies and best of all he believes that Israel is the worst perpetrator of “genocidal repression” in the world today “worse than the Sudan, worse than the Congo, worse than Burma – a large claim but true”.
Sounds like a perfect candidate to me.

This charmer would indeed be well-suited to CiF.
He found precisely what his bias led him to, aided and abetted without any doubt by Hamas minders who are experts in spinning the worst case scenario for the Gazans whose lives they themselves have a vested interest in keeping miserable.
This fellow is a QC and must therefore be assumed to have a least a modicum of intelligence and the capability for critical thought.
We can conclude therefore that his animus was driven by hatred of Israel and pershaps of Jews, in much the same way as other “fact”-finding missions before his, rather than an intelligent attempt to find out all the facts as might be driven by sincere intellectual curiosity.
In short, he’s a disgrace.

This guy is a regular on HIGNFY where his brief is to rubbish Tony Blair. Remember this is on BBC, a channel where Tony Blair is seen as an ally of Bush and a friend of Israel and deemed a war criminal and an oppressor of muslims. So whenever Bob appears on this programme his contributions goes down well very indeed.

One article opens with this startling “admission”:

His vicious attack on Israel looks timed to garner a few Muslim votes and save his parliamentary career. Shameful. Hopefully he’ll be out on his fat rear-end come May.

There seems to be an organised attempt by Looney Lefties and Islamists to change the meaning of some English words.
Terrorism was always for me, the targeting of civilians to strike terror into them to achieve some political end.
Genocide was the calculated destruction physically of a race or a people.
The Holocaust only referred to the Nazi attempt to destroy the Jewish People and other peoples. However, their main thrust was the Jewish people.
The statement ‘This ruthless, genocidal repression is the worst in today’s world’ is just typical of the looney left. Hyperbole mixed in with distortions. They make me sick.
Genocide can certainly be used to describe the Turks trying to kill all Armenians.
However, the word Terrorism has been degraded and is used by Islamists and their extreme leftist enablers to describe other situations completely. I could agree that the allied bombing of German cities was terrorism BUT, it was war time and the Nazis had to be shown that their cause was lost to get the unconditional surrender.
