There is something very telling about those posters that on a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with the Israel/Palestine conflict bring up the subject matter of Israel.

Indeed, Ms Clinton. Internet can spread a lot of useful information and created a forum for exchange of ideas. I would recommend you regularly reading of CIF.
“information networks are helping people discover new facts and making governments more accountable. “
Unfortunately governments answer to that with more propaganda efforts or with simple indifference as in the case of the Palestinians and of the last war against Gaza.

Had China launched a similar Cast Lead “operation” against the beleagured Tibetans Mrs Clinton would be on her soapbox at the UN.
As it’s just a few sandal wearing Arabs who trouble the Israelis. Well …

Heaven forbid that the moderators would delete the above comments as ‘off subject’ or ‘off track’.
That would be too much to ask.
Papalagi and RAYMONDDELAUNEY are a rabid Israel haters who seems to spend their days searching out articles which in some twisted, perverted ways can be connected to Israel.
RAYMONDDELAUNEY seems to be the famous CountBernadotte known ‘affectionately’ as ‘Dotty’ but the Moderators at CiF seem not to have noticed. No surprise there really.

That comment from TheLoony.
As it’s just a few sandal wearing Arabs who trouble the Israeli’s.
Well……
Imagine how long a post by a pro-Israeli poster would last using the words
“Sandal wearing Arabs”
In all the years of my living in Israel,I did not meet one single sandal wearing Arab.
I have a feeling that there would be a lot more sandal wearing Arabs in Sydney where this Loony hails from. The same Loony that lives in Sydney in a house built on land that once belonged to the rightful owners of that land. The Aborigines.

Now while making some reference to I/P would not in itself strictly be off-topic (i.e. as applies to any other country/region), clearly Papalagi’s intent here was simply to exploit the opportunity to have a go at Israel. I’ve seen him and others doing it before on other threads.
As for theyislying: on the same thread they recenty referred to Israel as “the european settler state” while later reminding Israeli Jews of “their arab ethnicity”!

Roger Cohen over at the New York Times plays the freewheeling association game with Israel all the time. Cohen will be writing about Russia or China and in the middle of something else, Cohen will pivot and throw in a paragraph about how evil Bibi Netanyahu is. Cohen is generally more sarcastic than Guardian writers but cut from the same cloth. CTW, CNN has never asked its reporter Christine Amanpour to prove her accusation: “Waterboarding? That is what the Israelis do”.

A little off-topic but no matter:
IF EXILED SHOULD HAPPEN TO LOOK IN:
I seem to remember that you expressed an interest in learning more about the history of antisemitism in England and in Anthony Julius’ book in particular.
Julius’ book is out now. It’s in hardback and is called “Trials of the Diaspora: A History of Anti-semitism in England” (and I wish they had written “antisemitism” correctly). It is published by Oxford University Press.

Pretzelberg papalagi has one idea only at any time in his head and CiF provides him with a space to share it, again and again and again, with the other …. folk… who may be of like “mind” to his.
He seems to have got over his other obsession, that Ilan Pappe is a reputable historian, and has stopped quoting him chapter and verse. I suppose we should all be thankful for that small mercy.

Lo and behold and true to form, the Pappsta’s been at it again on the Dershowitz thread …

And he wasn’t the only one, of course.

There is something very funny as well that all three of the posts mentioned above are no longer up.
The 3:45 post was “removed by a moderator”
The 7:20 post has vanished.
The 10:22 post has vanished.
I imagine they were there before Hawkeye posted this yesterday, and its an article from Jan 22.
It appears that CiF has eyes here and is tzittering somewhat about having their bias exposed.

Pretzelberg: I must say that you did rather well on that Dershowitz thread.
