On Monday we conducted a test to see if our readers were able to distinguish between comments posted at “Comment is Free” and comments posted on the neo-Nazi hate site, Stormfront.
The poll was open for 48 hours and the complete comment along with the results are revealed below. As you can see three are from “Comment is Free’ threads (Comments 1, 3 and 6) and three are from “Stormfront” (Comments 2, 4 and 5). Of those polled, only two of the three comments were correctly identified as belonging to “Comment is Free” and one of the three comments to Stormfront.
Perhaps most interesting of all, 83% of respondents thought that Comment 4 (the pro-Israel posters are paid shills of the Israeli government comment) was a “Comment is Free” comment when in fact it was a Stormfront comment. But one can hardly be blamed for being mistaken when none other than Brian Whitaker, commissioning editor of “Comment is Free” stokes the flames of Jewish conspiracy theory with comments like this.
Let us know how many you got right.

Ahmadinejad is accused of being a denier of fascist crimes even there is no evidence that he has indeed done so. He did not say that the fascists did not build concentration camps where millions of people were murdered. Nor did he seek to rehabilitate the fascists by demonizing the allies, as many Anglo-American and eastern European revisionist liars do when they equate Russia to Hitler.
The real holocaust deniers are those hateful zionists who deny the fact that massacres, ethnic cleansing, expulsions against the Palestinians have taken place. In particular, they deny the fact that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were expelled by the marauding Zionists in 1948, but instead blame the victims, whom they accuse of voluntarily leaving. Zionist extremists go as far as to deny the fact that even a Palestinian people

Quote
“The Zionist state is accelerating its Hasbara campaign, by forming “Internet Warfare Squads”, their sole remit: to post pro-Israel responses on websites worldwide. This assault on free speech and effectively muzzling any criticism of Israel is a tool which will be used in the public relations war, the Zionist thought police are only a click away.Ynet news reports that the Israel Foreign Ministry intends to hire young people who speak at least one language and who study communication, political science, or law – or alternately, Israelis with military experience gained at units dealing with information analysis.A budget of $150,000 has been set aside to pay the bloggers who will serve the Zionist state.
If the great and the good supporters of the Zionist state believed that their state is doing the right thing, then wouldn’t they be able to advocate their message without being paid?
Israeli Foreign Ministry officials are fighting what they see as a terrible and scary monster: the Palestinian public relations monster.
Yet nothing can be done to defeat it, regardless of how many foolish inventions will be introduced and how many bright communication students will be hired.
The reason is that good PR cannot make the reality in the occupied territories any prettier.
Children are being killed, homes are being bombed, and families are starved.
Yet nonetheless, the Zionists want to change the perception of the world.
And they have willing partners, with one respondent stating;
“Where do I submit a CV? I’m fluent in several languages and I’m able to spew forth bull**** for hours on end.”
This anti-democratic initiative is typical of the Zionist state, one that flies in the face of their self proclamation of being the only democracy in the Middle East. Any attempt to plant talkbacks online must fail. Especially if the State is behind it. Not only because it’s easy to identify responses made on behalf of someone, but also because it’s anti-democratic. When the Israel Electric Company or other companies do it, it’s annoying. Yet when the State does it, it’s dangerous.
Impostors on behalf of the government are threatening free discourse even if they only wander through the virtual space. The Internet was meant to serve as an open platform for dialogue between people, rather than as a propaganda means.
Something worrisome is happening here lately. We see the accumulation of silencing attempts. The Nakba Law, the bill calling for a ban on protests outside the homes of politicians, Lieberman’s Loyalty Law, and the biometric information database.
The free speech hunting season is on.
It’s always the Muslims who are accused of being against free speech…so where’s the moral outcry against the Zionists?
I wonder how many people are even aware of such concerted misinformation campaigns, and more importantly, what are WE doing collectively to fight back.
We have the Internet, and it enables us to identify processes, discuss them, warn about them, and join forces against them.
We can assume that soon we’ll see the establishment of a website opposed to this new initiative, unless such site already exists.
Maybe someone will set up a group on a social networking site, although one has to consider most of these networking sites are pro zionist, so will they allow such discourse?
Never mind a Big Brother state.
This is far more dangerous.
The planet earth is in real danger of being controlled by the Zionist thought-police.”

ethnic cleansing. Thje difference is if it’s jewish groups that do it all the sudden all kinds suspicious people come out of the woodwork in droves to defend it.The Israeli leadership should all be tried for war crimes and
ethnic cleansing and prosecuted to the full extenet of the law.

Interesting to see this article provoking the ZioNazis to come out of their holes. Note the references to the attacks of suicide bombers and no reference to Sabra, Chatila or the recent Gaza massacres. The reality is that the Israelis have created a giant ghetto in the West Bank. The daily harassment of Palestinians is little short of barbarous and shows that the Israeli state exists in a moral and ethical void. What is taking place is slow burn ethnic cleansing and it is no surprise that Israel was a key supporter of apartheid South Africa. The Israeli apologists on this site are cowards in every sense of the word because they resort to endless lying to justify the Israeli policy of lebensraum.

Guardian Hates Jews
Do the Guardian’s financial partners (including advertiers) know of the relationship of its material to Stormfron’s, as you have shown above?

I don’t know what to say anymore. I was absolutely sure I would be able to tell which comment is from Cif and which from SF, but by golly, I also was mistaken on #4. But maybe this guy is also posting on Cif, because this is definitely Cif-stuff.
But in any case, this was a devastating demonstration.

Wow!
I got only two of the CiF ones correct.
This is powerful stuff indeed.

Hawkeye I think that this link should be sent to the Guardian’s owners and their Editorial Board.
It’s a damning indictment that a once excellent newspaper harbours such hate-filled lies that it’s difficult to distinguish between their world view and that of a vile neo-Nazi one.

GHJ has a good point.
That ‘seasoned observers’ like us had difficulty separating the Stormfront posters from the Guardian CiF posters is very telling.
Perhaps its time to make this known beyond the blogosphere and let the general public (and advertisers) become aware of the Guardian editors’ enthusiasm for hosting racist comments, those comment being indistinguishable from those on a notorious, ultra right, white supremacist website.
Quite unbelievable.

I’m proudly declare that my guess was correct=4 vs erroneous=2
Interestingly one of my mistake was Englishrights’ post wher he took my name in vain. A shame!

Hawkeye – its probably impossible to find it now, but I am pretty sure that Comment #4 was posted virtually verbatim on CiF.

At first I thought that all the comments had all come from one source only. Those that come from Stormfront very accurately echo some posted in CiF It is only the particular wording that distinguishes them as far as I can tell. The sentiments are the same.

It shouldn’t surprise people that Guardianista Israel/Jew haters read and post on Stormfront as well.
They are very similar and serve the same purpose.
What is particularly disgusting is that CiF and the Guardian provide a similar environment to Stormfront so that these creatures can feel so much at home.

“dogsplayingcards” of Stormfront is pure caricature paranoid ideation – note the reference to”..the planet earth…”:
“…The planet earth is in real danger of being controlled by the Zionist thought-police.”…
I bet this charmer wears a tin foil hat and receives messages from Mars through his fillings when he forgets to take his medication.
And I’ll bet he actually does play cards with dogs…
And thinks that he wins, too….

CiifWatch, congratulations on illustrating the blurred lines between the progressive, humanitarian, peace-loving Israel bashers on the left, and their moral nemesis on the extreme right. Yes, they may think they are different, but in reality they are twinned by Jew hatred. The Guardian is shamed yet again, and the ideology on which their sanctimonious bigotry is founded is again discredited. It is a sobering thought that 70 years ago the Nazis believed they held the banner of progress and modernism, and just like the Guardian, it was a vision that could not be reconciled with ‘Jewish power’.

Great job, Hawkeye. I guess you could have titled this article, “when left meets right”
