I went to have a look and was struck by the presence of a new polite mod: a real sweetheart. There are no threats of deletion or draconian measures that we are used to. This mod has a nickname for us to use Commod.
So hello there ComMod, glad to meet you.. Perhaps you could be the mod rep. here.

Ariadne – I took a look at the Galloway article you referenced. Flushed with success, the “commods” (thanks, Margie!) have managed, at a rough count, to wipe away about 50% of all comments.
Apart from the antisemitism displayed in this there’s the contorted deceitfulness of it:

Regarding rogue nuclear states perhaps if Israel were invaded and illegal weapons of mass destruction were FOUND that would send a very real and very clear message to both Iran and North Korea.
How does it benefit a “serious” newspaper to circulate such ignorant rubbish?
The Galloway thread was definitely most entertaining: you could see that a real Guardinista has no problem when a British politician works for an Iranian government propaganda outlet… Well, as long as there’s hope that the Iranians will “wipe off the Zionist entity from the map”, it’s no wonder that they have a certain fan base.
Commod is a good one, I have to say—a one word job-description, sort of…
But so far “pokingpinocchio” has not been discovered by the Guardian’s moderators despite a number of lengthy “talknic” cut and pastes on the Lerman thread – probably the toilet door was closed …

Indeed!
Typical outback humor!! And then, when the mods get into action – all those long, long, nitpicking comments just flushed down the toilet….

Superb! Shows they are going through the motions and that it’s good that CifWatch is flushing them out. I love how you guys cut the crap.
CifWatch: wiping clean the marble and smashing the cistern!
(Enough already.)

This seems a suitable place for a certain cat.
