A new Ben White abomination has just gone up at CiF which is stoking yet more Jew-hatred in the comment threads.
How fitting that in the week we had to endure antisemitic tirades from the likes of Ahmadinejad, we are treated to not one but two articles from Ben White – the man who understands why some are antisemites and defended Ahmadinejad’s previous statements denying the Holocaust.
In the space of just 2 hours in which the thread has been open here are a selection of some of the comments from the creatures that dwell beneath the line – at the time of writing only one has been deleted and what is worse the comments by FalseConsciousness, Expat Amsterdam and Bass46 below appeared approximately 15 minutes after their time stamp which could indicate that they were premoderated – Guardian complicity in action!):

Let me just check the advice in my GIYUS handbook on this one … ah yes, here we go:
- Hamas are terrorists
- Iran wants to wipe Israel off the map
- We are the victims here
- The author is an anti-semite27 Sep 09, 10:02am
Is it me or should anyone who stands up for the rights of Palestinians, see that the term ‘anti-semite’ has no value, and and never has. Its now a loaded term of abuse for anyone that doesn’t conform to the Zionist way of thinking. What the Zionists never answer, is that of Israel is ‘a land for the Jews’, why were no non-Western Jews or poorer Jews allowed to settle there? No can’t answer that. Don’t worry, we can figure it out for ourselves why you didn’t.
Cue a Cif Watch troll to report ‘abuse’ to the mods.

Recent events have once again exposed the fallacy of the “Two-State Solution.” The Israelis and Palestinians must share all of historic Palestine in a democratic state that grants equal citizenship to all regardless of race or religion.
27 Sep 09, 9:30am
This is rather sickening.
For years Israel has (rightly) demanded that all property seized and looted during WWII is returned to its rightful owners – yet here they are actively denying the same right to the Palestinians. The racism and hypocrisy of this action is incredible and will sow the seeds of future conflict for generations to come.
27 Sep 09, 9:43am
A Right Wing racist government brings even more misery, as expected.
And there is this one from TheGreatGiginTheSky who is clearly not familiar with the new talk policy at CiF:

I can ***NOT*** really say what I think about Israel’s behaviour without the post being deleted.
If any other country in the world did the stuff Israel (and America) does, the MSM would be screaming on every TV channel and every front page.
Israel gets a free pass, we can’t even post about it here on CiF.
There’s your problem.
Anyway, keep an eye on the thread and post antisemitic comments in the comment thread below.

Yet another story from the region that just makes me think that Israel is firmly in the grip of Jew supremacists. I’m afraid that it is well on the way to becoming a nasty bullying, racist country.
Who will stand up to them?

..and here is the GWV exemplified, in historic revisionism:
1. After the genocide, the emaciated and traumatised Survivors in 1945 are supposed to have lived happily ever after in Poland.
2. The UN vote of 1947 and the Arab refusal to accept partition are airbrushed out of history.

fresh out of the concentration camps they could have returned to their own homes in the liberated countries of Europe. Instead they choose the homeland of the Palestinians…

There is a lot of Jewish self-deprecating irony in the oft-quoted remark : ” I’m proud to be Jewish, but even if I weren’t proud, I’d still be a Jew, so I may as well be proud of it.”
The antisemites have a similar saying, but this time, there is nothing self-mocking or ironic. They have no sense of humour at all.
When accused of antisemitism they say :
I’m proud to be an antisemite (it only means that I oppose Zionism ), but even if I weren’t proud of it, I’d still be an antisemite, so I may as well be proud of it.

White has picked up yet another of the mantras now being used to delegitimize Israel and its Arab citizens:
“Palestinian citizens of Israel were also unhappy with the reforms?
Stripped of their Israeli identity by their most extreme politicians and Hamasbaraniks like White, the Arab sector is now “Palestinian” – in happy anticipation of the day that the Jewish state is dismembered and the glorious “one state” emerges.

Ben White – Real reform in Israel is a distant prospect
‘While the increasingly overt racism of Knesset members has got its fair share of headlines, other important developments have escaped scrutiny outside the region’. Opinion without evidence.
‘….supporters and opponents of the reform bill ramped up the rhetoric and made often strange-looking alliances….’ In the UK, this is called parliamentary democracy – in Israel, according to White it is something sinister.
The privatisation of land will according to White, is a breach of the Geneva Convention, and ‘contravenes’ his emphasis Israel’s own Absentee Property Law. As I’m not a lawyer, I can’t comment – is White a lawyer?
‘…the JNF is receiving land in the Negev and Galilee (though for the moment, the whole deal is being held up in the courts). This fits with the “Judaisation” strategy targeting these two regions which have high concentrations of Palestinians and Bedouins’.
Judaisation? Given White’s notoriety as ‘understanding of antisemites’ and sympathetic to Holocaust deniers, it shouldn’t be surprising he uses a term like this. He doesn’t actually point out how or even if the ‘high concentrations of Bedouin and Palestinians’, will be affected.
The article invites and has attracted the usual motley crew of racist commentators to vent their spleens on what is in effect, a non story. The ownership and administration of land in Israel will pass from one authority to another. Result? Not yet known but how useful to use as a non story for his prejudices and those of his followers.
The real message behind the story? Jews administer their own lands and White doesn’t like it.

White is just a puppet for the PSC and Jeff Halper.
He knows nothing. If you ask him questions at meetings he cannot answer them.
His knowledge of the Middle East is zero, he just parrots what he is told to say.
He deprived someone of a Cambridge place. What a criminal waste.

How interesting. I wondered how White, living in Brazil I believe, keeps so informed about what’s happening in the Knesset, and the feelings of Palestinian Arabs. Your reference to Jeff Halper would explain that very well.
You mention questions at meetings. Could you please expand on that. Are you a contemporary of his from Cambridge? Thanks.

He lives in the UK now. He is doing meetings to promote his book ‘Israeli Apartheid’. His answers there to questions display his ignorance.

27 Sep 09, 4:17pm (29 minutes ago)
There is only one solution: A One State solution. The whole area has to revert to being Palestine. Zionism has to be dismantled. It’s got nothing to do with Judaism: In fact a material state of Israel is heretical in Judaism. Israel in my view is like a much slicker presented North Korea: A Cult that controls land. Yes, it has friends in high places: US and UK politicians are bankrolled by those behind “Israel” and we all suffer having to fight and pay for it’s wars. Israel is a cancer.

While not precisely an anti-Semitic comment, this from the Ben White thread falls into the “how dare that little country” syndrome:
Moeran
27 Sep 09, 10:19am (about 9 hours ago)
It is astonishing how that little country gets away with so much; beyond the law, beyond civilised values and beyond belief.
This lust for land- usually land belonging to other people- seems to drive Israeli politicians beyond any perceptible level of decency.
It is Israel’s small size and determination to do what it wishes, not what others want for it, that drives people like this retired schoolmaster Moeran crazy. If only Israel were a really big country – as big, say, as Iran – they would no doubt be entirely supportive.
Moeran’s comment is reminiscent of a school-yard bully picking on the smallest kid.

Yes, it is beyond belief. This sweet little country has friends in high places, a powerful propaganda machine and many paid and unpaid apologists who shamelessly and relentlessly defend the indefensible. No other country on earth could get away with so much brutality……
Well, Namokel, those friends are all, I suppose part of your other friend Ahmadinajad’s much feared “global conspiracy”.
Of course, it could be that these friends admire people who tell the truth unlike Arafat, Gaddafi, or Ahmadinajad, for example, and stand up for themselves.
As for “getting away with it … how conveniently you over look Iran’s repression of its dissidents, Russian activity in Georia and Chechnya, China in Tibet and among the Uighars, Darfur, etc .. but of course, those are BIG countries, so you and Moeran understand that they have every right to “get away with it”.

I’m not a lawyer either but anything relating the Geneva Convention to Israel is pure guff.
Belligerent occupation is defined by the Hague and Geneva Conventions and it requires a High Contracting Party on either side of the war.
No High Contracting Party has an interest in any of The Territories and as we all know Israel in 1967 was defending herself only.
I liked White’s comment on former Arab villages. I have posted a snippet here on abandoned Arab villages and also recall a US agricultural bigwig called Lowdermilk reporting in 1939, later than the source of my earlier post, on flying over the Mandate land and seeing around 200 such villages.
“One always finds in Palestine Arabs who have been in the country only a few weeks or a few months. Since they are themselves strangers in a strange land, they are the loudest to cry: “Out with the Jews!”. Amongst them are to be found representatives of every Arab country: Arabs from Transjordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, the Sudan and Iraq.”
L. Farago, 1937
Add to that that in 1948 the UN, at its wits’ end on how to deal with Arab refugees from the former Mandate whose numbers were swelled with scammers from who-knows-where, decided that an Arab refugee from the former Mandate was any Arab who had lived there from 1946-1948.
It is a very fantastical criterion for indigenousness.
Add to that that the Arabs who create the lists of “Palestinian” villages include such things as police posts…

Judea and Samaria are Jewish lands and Israel doesn’t need anyone’s permission to build on it’s own lands
Here it comes… more mythology from the magic book as justification for a land grab.
It doesn’t matter what it says in your book. It’s all made up, unlike the people affected by Netanyahu’s latest form of repression. The legal system in Israel is twisted to his will. Evictions. Visa restrictions. Settlement expansion. Ownership of land. All justified by some line from the book.
What there are,are Arab Israeli’s who live in the fully democratic Israel,as full citizens.
What there are, are Arab Israeli’s who live in a demcratic country that voted for far Right racists and 90% of whom supported an attack on a refugee camp, as second class citizens of a regime which is doing it’s best to be apartheid South Africa.

Yes Banana, hiding behind your bandana: you see a nation of five million Jews in a neighbourhood of close to two billion Moslems and naturally it’s those damned Jews causing the trouble, as they always have huh?
If a child disappears, blame the Jews. If the crop fails, blame the Jews. If there’s no rain, blame the Jews. Hey that’s why God invented them wasn’t it? So that decent errrr people like you can have someone to blame besides themselves.
In this era the Jews have some autonomy and you of course decide that this is not fair. Jews have always been scapegoats, toys for the kicking in effect.
I don’t blame you for being upset. You are the product of generations of bigotry and closed mindedness: well done.
